Summary: Reign collects your location data to let you claim territories, your profile info to identify you, and usage data to improve the app. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Reign ("we," "our," or "us") is a mobile application that allows users to claim real-world territory by walking, running, or cycling. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Reign app.
When you create an account via Google OAuth we collect your name, email address, and profile photo URL. Via email/password we collect your email and a securely hashed password. You may also provide a username and bio.
Reign requires GPS access to function. We collect real-time GPS coordinates, paths, and territory boundaries only while you are actively recording an activity.
Important: We do not track your location in the background when you are not using the recording feature.
Activity type, duration, distance, GPS path, territories claimed, and date/time.
Friend connections, posts, comments, and likes on the community feed.
Screen views, session data, crash reports, and device platform — used anonymously to improve the app.
Data is stored on Supabase with industry-standard encryption and Row Level Security. Authentication uses Google OAuth or securely hashed passwords.
We do not sell your personal information. Your username, territories, and activity stats are visible to other users. Your email is never shared. We use Supabase and Google as service providers with their own privacy policies.
Reign is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We retain data while your account is active. Upon deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days.
